OUR SCHOLARSHIP

Shalom College is known for its personal, academic and inclusive community. It attracts residents from all backgrounds who want to succeed in their academic studies while meeting friends through social, sporting and cultural activities.

The Shalom Gamarada Indigenous Scholarship is awarded based on financial need; course of study and likelihood to successfully complete tertiary studies; involvement in leadership roles and activities, as well as cultural, community service, sporting and extra-curricular activities; and a commitment to contribute to the Shalom College community and the Shalom Gamarada program.

Depending on your circumstances, the Shalom Gamarada scholarship will:

  • Pay you a fortnightly stipend of $425 per fortnight if you are on Residential Cost Option (RCO)

  • Pay either a portion or the full amount of your Shalom College fees if you are not eligible for Residential Cost Option (RC)

HOW TO APPLY

APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR 2024

Closing date: 30 November 2023

Applications will be assessed with an emphasis on:​

  1. Level of need and current financial circumstances

  2. Likelihood to successfully complete tertiary studies

  3. Involvement and achievements in in leadership, cultural, community service, sporting and extra curricular activities

  4. Commitment and likely contribution to Shalom College and Shalom Gamarada

  5. The degree you are studying/planning to study

 

The selection committee will consider your application and if they believe you meet the criteria the next step will be an interview.
